How to Draw Online Free in 3 Steps

  1. There's no sign-up.

No account, no email to confirm, no password to remember. Open the page and the board is already there, blank and ready.

  2. Draw with a mouse or your finger.

Ten brush sizes and ten colours — white included, so you can erase by painting. If a line goes wrong, undo it and try again. Nothing is permanent until you save.

  3. Save it — free, and yours.

Save downloads the drawing to your device as a PNG. Want it in the gallery as well? Say yes when the box asks, and it appears there once it's been reviewed.

What “Free” Means Here

No account.

You don't register, you don't confirm an email, you don't log in. Drawing shouldn't need a password.

Nothing to install.

The board is a web page. No app, no extension, no download before you can start.

No fee, no card, no trial.

There's nothing to upgrade to and nothing to subscribe to. Every tool on the board is yours from the first second — all ten brush sizes, all ten colours.

No watermark on the file you save.

The PNG that lands on your device is exactly the picture you drew. A watermark only goes on a drawing you choose to publish.

Free to save, free to share.

Downloading costs nothing; so does putting a drawing in the public gallery.

No limit on how much you draw.

One picture or a hundred — there's no daily cap, and nothing counts against you.

Drawing Board Features

Ten brush sizes.

From a hairline for small detail to a thick marker for filling space.

Ten colours — white included.

Black, red, green, blue, yellow, orange, purple, pink, a warm rose-red, and white. On a white canvas, white works as an eraser.

Undo, redo, clear.

Try a line, drop it, go back and try again. The three buttons that make drawing here low-risk.

Mouse, finger or stylus.

Trackpad, touchscreen, pen — the board takes all three and needs none of them in particular.

Save as PNG.

One click and the picture lands on your device, at the size of the board on your screen.

Share to the gallery.

Choose to share when you save, and after review the drawing goes up for other people to see and like.

Save, Download or Publish

Saving keeps it on your device.

The Save button downloads your drawing as a PNG — yours to keep, use, or send on. Nothing leaves your computer for that to happen.

Publishing asks first.

When you save, a box appears asking whether you want to share the drawing. Say yes and it's uploaded, reviewed, and then shown in the public gallery. Say no and nothing is uploaded at all.

Review is what keeps the gallery worth looking at.

Drawings are checked before they go up.

The gallery copy carries a watermark — your file doesn't.

Published drawings get a small Getdoodling mark in the corner, so a picture can travel and still say where it came from. The PNG you saved stays clean.

Close the window and it's gone.

There's no autosave and no draft waiting on a server. While you're drawing, the picture exists only in your browser — save it before you close the tab.

What People Use It For

A quick sketch, without opening a big program.

You need a rough shape, a diagram, or a plan — just not enough of one to justify installing design software.

Drawing with a child.

No account to set up, no download, nothing to break. Open the page, hand over the tablet, let them fill the screen with colour.

Something to do while you wait.

On a train, in a queue, on a call that could have been an email.

Practice, if you're learning to draw.

A place to put in the daily lines without setting anything up first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is GetDoodling really free?

Yes. Drawing, saving and sharing cost nothing, and there's no account to create. Draw one picture or a hundred — nothing counts against you.

Do I have to create an account?

No. You can draw, save the PNG, and share to the gallery without ever registering.

Will my drawing be uploaded without my permission?

No. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose it. Save the file and close the page, and the drawing never leaves your device.

Will my drawing have a watermark?

Not the one you download — that PNG is exactly what you drew. Drawings published to the gallery carry a small GetDoodling watermark, so if someone reposts one, people can see where it came from.

Can I use the drawings I make here for my own purposes?

Yes — it's your drawing; you made it. Sharing it to the gallery gives us permission to display it on the site, and you can email us to have it taken down. If you repost an image from the gallery somewhere else, please credit getdoodling.com with a link.
